ClicCommerce announces the arrival of software supplier 3-SOFT to the ClicInc Marketplace
Montreal, 12 February 2002 -
ClicCommerce, a member of the National Bank financial group, has announced that 3-SOFT, one of Canada's largest software retailers, has joined its ClicInc Marketplace as a software supplier. Last fall, it will be recalled, ClicCommerce launched ClicInc, its electronic transactions platform dedicated to B2B commerce, and the only one of its kind in Canada to offer private and public marketplaces.
Serge Beauchemin, President and CEO of 3-SOFT, expressed his delight with the partnership. "We are very pleased that now, through the ClicCommerce Marketplace, we can offer our products throughout the country."
As Martin Morency, President of ClicCommerce, stated: The e-commerce market is still in its infancy and ClicCommerce has everything it takes to become No. 1. With ClicInc, no initial IT investment is required, which is an enormous advantage for anyone wanting to get into electronic commerce. What's more, ClicCommerce offers one of the most secure environments, in compliance with banking industry standards." He went on to say that ClicCommerce clients will save substantially on the direct and indirect costs associated with repeat product purchases.
ClicInc's public marketplace can be accessed free of charge by any business looking for electronic procurement solutions. Companies can already choose from dozens of product categories: computer equipment, office supplies, greeting cards and, now, software with the arrival of 3-SOFT, a Quebec-based company that offers the largest selection of software available on the market and represents the largest software manufacturers. Several other suppliers will be added soon.
ClicInc's private marketplace gives buyers and suppliers access to an electronic transactions platform designed specifically for them. Not only can buyers manage their procurement process more effectively, but they can also reduce delivery times and purchase costs, as well as gain optimum control of their purchases. For their part, suppliers benefit from better management of their electronic catalogues through quick, easy price updates, lower costs and fewer errors in processing orders, effective advertising of current promotions, and the satisfaction of knowing that their clients are improving their procurement management.
3-SOFT, Canada's SOFTWARE SERVICES leader, specializes in the deployment of Microsoft technologies and in B2B software sales and related professional services: from acquisition through to deployment, recruitment of technical staff, certified training and technical support. 3-SOFT's customers include medium-sized and large enterprises in Quebec and Ontario, as well as federal and provincial government departments and agencies, particularly those in the education sector.
A member of the National Bank financial group, ClicCommerce is a company specialized in e-commerce. It offers a wide selection of made-to-measure electronic solutions to companies throughout Canada. Created in October 2001, ClicCommerce now has more than 650 buyers registered in its ClicInc Marketplace.
