National Bank Employees Unite for a CURE
Montreal, 7 June 2004 - The some 1,400 National Bank employees on
Montreal Island have donated $7,800 to the CURE Foundation, an organization
devoted to breast cancer research.
On May 11, National Denim Day, Bank employees
were allowed to wear jeans to work for a contribution of $5. The funds raised
were donated to the CURE Foundation, which works in tandem with health
professionals, other foundations and Canadian teaching hospitals to improve
outcomes for people affected by breast cancer.
National
Bank is committed to playing an important role in the communities it serves. Every year, it contributes close to $10 million through donations
and sponsorships to education, health, culture and community assistance
organizations.
