National Bank becomes a major partner of the OSM
Montreal, 30 August 2006 -
The Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM) is pleased to announce that National Bank will be a major partner of the OSM for the next three seasons. Through this partnership, the OSM will benefit from an additional $1 million in revenue between 2006 and 2009.
“We are excited to support the OSM, an orchestra that is renowned for its artistic excellence both here in Canada and abroad. This partnership is testament to the Bank’s resolve to preserve our cultural heritage and to generate economic benefits in several regions,” said Réal Raymond, President and Chief Executive Officer of National Bank. Through its association with the OSM, National Bank hopes to make music accessible to a wider audience, an objective that is aligned with the orientations of the OSM.
The Orchestra is delighted with this new and important affiliation. Stated OSM Chairman of the Board Lucien Bouchard, “I am deeply grateful to National Bank for its support of the OSM. Such support is crucial if the Orchestra is to continue to excel and to offer a program of exceptional quality that is attractive to the general public.” In becoming a partner in the Orchestra’s regular season, National Bank will supply fresh impetus to the OSM’s development.
