National Bank Financial Group donates $55,000 to 12 Quebec-based organizations

Montreal, 20 August 2008 - 

National Bank Financial Group is pleased to announce that it is donating $55,000 raised through its 16th annual Commercial Banking Specialized Groups golf tournament to 12 Quebec-based organizations.

The tournament was held on Tuesday, August 19 at the Saint-Raphaël Golf Club on Île Bizard and included 300 participants, most of them clients from the Montreal area and members of the Group’s senior management.

The donation will be shared among the organizations and will help them to carry on their work in areas that include health and community outreach:

In 2007, through corporate donations, sponsorships, in-branch fundraising activities and various benefit events, National Bank Financial Group gave more than $20 million to hundreds of Canadian education, health care, cultural and community organizations.
