National Bank Financial Group collects 250,000th tennis ball to benefit kids

Boucherville, 20 April 2010 -

The 250,000th tennis ball was donated to the campaign to collect used tennis balls for schools today when a special team from National Bank Financial Group was visiting Sani Sport in Boucherville, Quebec.

To highlight this achievement, Tennis Canada and National Bank Financial Group were pleased to give Josée Forget from Varennes, donor of the 250,000th tennis ball, a pair of tickets to the final round of the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank, on Sunday, August 22, 2010, and a $100 gift cheque redeemable at the National Bank Platinum Club at Uniprix Stadium.

The National Bank Financial Group used tennis ball recovery program is in its fourth year. Under the program, donated tennis balls are distributed to various Quebec school boards to be placed on the legs of students’ chairs. This initiative, undertaken in response to a real need expressed by local schools, seeks to reduce classroom noise and promote a better learning environment for children.
