Martine Coulombe, Vice-President – Partnerships, named Quebec business woman of the year
Montreal, 25 October 2010 -
National Bank Financial Group is pleased to announce that Martine Coulombe, Vice-President – Partnerships, has been named Quebec business woman of the year for 2010 in the management, private enterprise category by the “Réseau des femmes d’affaires du Québec inc.” in cooperation with the French language publication "Les Affaires".
“Martine thoroughly deserves this honour,” declared Martin Lavigne, Senior Vice-President – Third Party Business Solutions at National Bank Financial Group, when the winner was announced last Thursday during the awards ceremony at “Le Centre Sheraton”. “Martine is a woman of vision and an outstanding communicator whose authentic leadership style inspires everyone around her. From her contributions to the growth of the Partnerships sector to her work with the “Cercle des jeunes leaders” of the “Fondation de l’Hôpital Sainte-Justine”, Martine Coulombe sets a great example in everything she does.”
Martine, who now leads a business unit of 150 people, has enthusiastically taken up a number of challenges over her career. For example, she created the Health Group, which led to the Financial Group becoming the preferred financial institution of the health care industry in Quebec. More recently, she gave the Partnerships sector new momentum by obtaining her employees’ trust and commitment to a new business model and by taking steps to ensure client satisfaction during difficult economic times.
