National Bank Presents the 2011-2012 Season of the Salle André-Mathieu

Montreal, 23 September 2011 -

National Bank is pleased to team up with the Salle André-Mathieu for a ninth consecutive year. As a partner for its 2011-2012 Program, National Bank is increasing its presence in Laval with a larger contribution under the banner “En scène avec Banque Nationale.” With this major partnership, National Bank becomes the main sponsor of all shows presented in the three halls of the Corporation de la Salle André-Mathieu.

Through its diverse programming, the Corporation is a patron for many forms of art. Music, comedy and theatre are showcased at the Salle André-Mathieu, the Maison des arts de Laval and the Théâtre Marcellin-Champagnat. The 2011-2012 season of the Salle André-Mathieu focuses on up-and-coming artists such as Pascale Picard and Nabila and company. The line-up also features headliners and fan favourites Richard Desjardins, Lynda Lemay and Stéphane Rousseau, among others.

“National Bank is delighted to increase its support for the Corporation de la Salle André-Mathieu, a leading presenter and promoter in the greater Montreal area. By supporting the Salle André-Mathieu, the Bank is proud to encourage home-grown talent and contribute to the vitality of the performing arts,” said Diane Pilote, Vice-President, Sales and Service – Personal Banking for Laval, Northern and Western Quebec at National Bank.

The Corporation de la Salle André-Mathieu is a major patron in Quebec, whose mission is to foster the performing arts, especially by presenting and producing cultural events. Every year, more than a hundred thousand spectators attend the shows presented at the Salle André-Mathieu and the two other halls of the Corporation, generating direct economic spin-offs for the Laval region.

Every year through its donations and sponsorships program and the initiatives of its employees, National Bank helps support hundreds of organizations across Canada. It focuses primarily on four main areas of activity—health, education, arts and culture, and community outreach—with the goal of generating positive benefits for communities.
