The PREMIA Business MasterCard protects you with a comprehensive insurance and assistance program that is automatically included with your card.

More than a card: Protection2 you can count on


  • Protection against fraudulent use by employees
    In the event of fraudulent use by authorized cardholders, your company is protected for up to $10,000 per card.*
  • MasterCard Zero Liability**
    Protects you against all liability if unauthorized purchases are made with your credit card. This coverage extends to purchases made in stores, over the phone or online.
  • Purchase protection
    Provides coverage in case of theft or damage for a period of 90 days following the date of purchase.
  • Extended warranty
    Doubles the original warranty period for up to one additional year. Applies to most new items, including computers and photocopiers, when the purchase is charged in full to your PREMIA card and the manufacturer’s warranty is valid in Canada.

Vehicle rental insurance
  • Liability coverage in case of collision, theft or damage to a vehicle rented with your PREMIA card for a period of 31 days or less.
  • Coverage of up to $1,000 during the vehicle rental period against loss, theft or damage to your personal effects from the vehicle or your hotel room.
  • Accident insurance for up to $50,000 in the event of death or dismemberment while travelling in a rented vehicle.
Common carrier travel/accident insurance3
  • Insurance for up to $250,000 in the event of death or dismemberment while aboard a common carrier if you paid for the tickets with your PREMIA card. This coverage also applies to people travelling with you who have been designated as a covered person in the insurance certificate.
Medical, general and legal assistance4
  • In case of a medical, administrative or legal problem, you can get help anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day, by calling a toll-free number.
  • You will be referred to a leagal advisor in the event of an emergency, even if you are abroad.
  • If necessary, bail and legal fees can be paid by means of a cash advance from your credit card.
MasterRouteTM Roadside Assistance

If your vehicule breaks down anywhere in Canada or the United States, help is just a phone call away. With MasterRoute, there are no unpleasant surprises.

The fee schedule is pre-established and you know in advance the cost of dealing with a breakdown. And, to simplify life, the breakdown costs are automatically charged to your PREMIA account, without your having to present your card. For more information, call 1-800-622-1307.

MasterCard Global ServiceTM

If your card is lost or stolen while you are abroad, MasterCard Global Service will answer your call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and give you the help you need:

  • Quick reporting of a lost or stolen card;
  • Temporary replacement card if necessary;
  • Cash advances within hours almost anywhere in the world.
Wherever you travel, you will find the toll-free MasterCard Global Service number at your hotel or in the telephone directory under "MasterCard Global Service".
