The Platinum MasterCard Business card protects you with a comprehensive insurance program that is automatically included with your card.

 

 

More than a card: Protection you can count on


MasterCard Zero Liability*
Protects you against all liability if unauthorized purchases are made with your credit card. This coverage extends to purchases made in stores, over the phone or online.

Purchase protection 1
Provides coverage in case of theft or damage for a period of 180 days following the date of purchase.

Extended warranty 1
Triples the original warranty period for up to two additional years. Applies to most new items, including computers and photocopiers, when the purchase is charged in full to your Platinum Business card and the manufacturer’s warranty is valid in Canada.

 

Enjoy a comprehensive insurance program


Vehicle Rental Insurance 1

Coverage comparable to that offered by the vehicle rental agency for damage caused by collision, fire, theft or vandalism on a rental period of 48 days or less.

Personal effects insurance in case of theft or vandalism, up to a maximum of $2,000 per rental period.

Common carrier travel/accident insurance 2

Insurance for up to $250,000 in the event of death or dismemberment while aboard a common carrier if you paid for the tickets with your Platinum Business card. This coverage also applies to people travelling with you who have been designated as a covered person in the insurance certificate.

Flight Delay Insurance 1

Flight delay coverage of up to $500 per person in case of a delay of more than four hours on a scheduled flight.

Baggage Insurance 1

Baggage insurance of up to $1,000 per person in case of theft, burglary, disappearance or vandalism.  This insurance also provides coverage of up to $500 per person in the event your checked baggage is delayed by more than six hours.

If your card is lost or stolen while you are abroad, MasterCard Global Service will answer your call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and give you the help you need:

  • Quick reporting of a lost or stolen card;
  • Temporary replacement card if necessary;
  • Cash advances within hours almost anywhere in the world.
