RRSP Season: National Bank Extends its Business Hours

Montreal, 19 February 2004 -

To enable its customers to make their RRSP contributions before the March 1 deadline, National Bank branches and TelNat, the Bank's telephone support service, are extending their business hours.

During the RRSP season, customers will have greater access to National Bank services and advisors. Up until March 1, 2004, investors can contact TelNat's loan and investment service from 6:00 a.m. to midnight to contribute to their RRSP or obtain an RRSP loan. TelNat advisors can be reached by dialing 1-888-4-TelNat and choosing options 5, 3 and 0.

For investors interested in mutual funds, representatives at National Bank Securities Advisory Service will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21 and 28. Our specialized mutual fund team can be reached at 1 (888) 270-3941.

In addition, National Bank branches will be open longer. Investors should contact their branch for banking hours during RRSP season.

New this year, investors can contribute 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to their RRSP directly via National Bank's transactional website: www.nbc.ca. They will have all the information they need at their fingertips – statements, assets, etc. – to calculate their contribution. It's fast, easy and secure.
