Montreal, 14 May 2004 -

As part of the 15th edition of its Bursaries and Summer Employment Program for Students with Physical and Sensory Disabilities, National Bank is pleased to announce the names of the three students chosen to receive a bursary and work at the Bank this summer.

Laurent Morissette, a student in administrative data processing at Collège Rosemont in Montreal, is the winner of a $1,000 bursary and a 10-week posting to the Bank's Shared Services Centre. Laurent will work on various information technology projects, allowing him to gain valuable work experience in his field of study.

Kristina Kolley, who just earned a Bachelor's degree in languages and linguistics from Queen's University in Kingston, is the recipient of a $2,000 bursary and a 12-week posting to the Bank's Assistance Centre in Toronto.  Kristina, who intends to pursue post-graduate studies, will have an opportunity to put her translation skills to work.

Danick Lepage, who is working towards a Bachelor's degree in communications at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, also received a $2,000 bursary.  Danick will be given a 12-week posting in customer service at the Bank's branch in Trois-Rivières Ouest.

National Bank has adapted its premises in order to welcome these three students and facilitate their work within each team. The winners were chosen by a committee comprised of a senior Bank executive, community and academic leaders, and a physician. Applicants were judged on the basis of their work experience, social and community involvement and academic excellence.
