National Bank donates $250,000 to the Fondation du Centre hospitalier régional de Trois-Rivières

Montreal, 7 December 2004 -

National Bank is pleased to support the Fondation du Centre hospitalier régional de Trois‑Rivières with a $250,000 donation to its 2003-2007 fundraising campaign.

The money raised during the campaign will be used primarily to enhance the emergency and intensive care area and to acquire a new state-of-the-art PET (positron emission tomography) scanner.  PET scanners can pinpoint cancer so that patients can begin the appropriate treatment more quickly.

The Bank is proud to help the Centre hospitalier régional de Trois-Rivières reach its financial objectives and offer specialized care and services to the people in the Mauricie and central Quebec regions.  Each year, the Bank donates nearly $10 million in the form of sponsorships to organizations that strive to improve health, education, community well-being and culture in their respective communities.
