National Bank steps up to help the victims of the tsunami
Montreal, December 31, 2004 – National Bank today announced that it is donating $40,000 to the Canadian Red Cross in support of the organization's relief efforts in Asia in the aftermath of the earthquake and tidal waves. In addition, the Bank's branches will be accepting donations from the public on behalf of the Red Cross.
All those who want to make a donation can do so at any National Bank branch between now and January 28, 2005. The donations will then be forwarded to the Canadian Red Cross which will use them to provide immediate assistance and basic necessities to the tens of thousands of people affected by this disaster.
