National Bank donates $50,000 to the London Health Sciences Foundation
National Bank is pleased to support the objectives of the London Health Sciences Foundation with a $50,000 donation. The funds will be used as part of the Women’s Health Program to help finance the construction of the Grace Donnelly Women’s Health Pavilion.
This new pavilion of the London Health Sciences Centre will provide a seamless continuum of quality care for women, including educational programs, outpatient treatment, surgery and rehabilitation services. It will also create an optimal environment for nurses, physicians and surgeons to provide specialized care to the thousands of women treated annually.
For more than a decade, the London Health Sciences Foundation has invested in the London Health Sciences Centre, one of Canada’s largest acute-care teaching hospitals. It links donors, health care consumers and health care experts – including physicians, allied professionals, researchers, staff and educators – in pursuit of medical excellence.
In 2006, the Bank and its subsidiaries, through corporate donations, sponsorships, in-branch fundraising activities and various benefit events, gave $19.5 million to hundreds of Canadian education, health care, cultural and community organizations.
