National Bank donates $3,500 to the Association de hockey mineur de Candiac
Employees of the National Bank branch in Candiac were pleased to present a cheque for $3,500 to the Association de hockey mineur de Candiac. The funds were raised through a contest launched in December in honour of the branch’s opening.
The donation, which was made on May 15 during a cocktail reception to inaugurate the new branch, will enable the association to buy new equipment for young hockey players in the region.
In 2006, the Bank and its subsidiaries, through corporate donations, sponsorships, in-branch fundraising activities and various benefit events, gave $19.5 million to hundreds of Canadian education, health care, cultural and community organizations.
