A Delicious Campaign Benefiting the Quebec Breakfast Club

Montreal, 19 November 2007 -

In this third year of a fruitful partnership, the Quebec Breakfast Club and the National Bank have cooked up a juicy promotion: two delicious GOUASH fruit spreads, featuring special flavours exclusive to this campaign, will be available in all National Bank branches throughout Quebec, from November 19 to December 29, 2007.

Sold in original double-tube packaging, these delicious cherry and raspberry GOUASH spreads resemble funky tubes of paint and are as tasty as they are good for you.

Produced locally by La Tomate and created exclusively for the Quebec Breakfast Club, GOUASH has no artificial colours or preservatives, making it the perfect healthy snack or simply a colourful way for young and old alike to brighten up the first meal of the day.  It also goes great with various cheeses, desserts andpâté.

Plus, it’s a unique holiday gift you can give as a stocking stuffer or bring to your favourite party hosts this season.

In all, over 100,000 double-tube packs of spread will be on sale during the six-week promotion.   All proceeds will be donated to the Quebec Breakfast Club.

“Last year, the sale of playing cards and memory games in all National Bank of Canada branches was a tremendous success – collecting $300,000 for the Club.   Let’s take concrete action once again to promote the well-being and academic success of children, as well as encourage our families and friends to do the same,” stated Pierre Desbiens, Senior Vice-President, Sales and Personal Banking and honorary president of the 2007 campaign.

This holiday season, spread your generosity by supporting the Quebec Breakfast Club’s nutrition programs, helping to provide meals for thousands of children.   “Every time a child goes to class having eaten breakfast, I tell myself that we’re moving in the right direction.  Unfortunately, there are still thousands of children left to feed and that’s why campaigns like these are so important to us,” expressed Daniel Germain, President and Founder of the Quebec Breakfast Club.
