ARISTA Contest: Charles Guay Named Top Young Manager in Quebec
Charles Guay, President and Chief Executive Officer of National Bank Securities, President and Chief Executive Officer of Altamira, and Senior Vice-President – Mutual Funds, National Bank, took top honours in the Young Manager category in the Quebec-wide ARISTA competition organized by the Jeune chambre de commerce de Montréal (JCCM) at its May 5 gala event.
Through its ARISTA competition, the JCCM pays tribute to young business people in Quebec who have distinguished themselves through their remarkable talent. For 28 years, it has been a premier meeting place and networking vehicle for young Quebec-based professionals, managers, and self-employed workers between the ages of 18 and 40 working in all sectors of economic activity.
In addition to this coveted title, Mr. Guay was recognized, on May 3, among Canada’s “Top 40 Under 40.”
Charles Guay joined National Bank in 2001 as President and Chief Executive Officer of National Bank Securities. Under his leadership, the company has opened new markets and grown exponentially. Recently appointed CEO of Altamira, he is responsible for all activities related to designing, developing and distributing National Bank’s family of mutual funds.
Mr. Guay is an active member of the Board of Directors of the Conseil des fonds d’investissement du Québec (CFIQ) and also sits on the committee responsible for organizing benefit golf tournaments for the Foundation for Research into Children’s Diseases. Formerly an athlete with Canada’s national swim team, Mr. Guay has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Université Laval and is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.
