National Bank launches new Allure MasterCard, tailored for women

Today National Bank launched the new Allure MasterCard, specifically designed for Quebec women. The card offers a range of exclusive benefits, including a 10% discount at participating retail outlets (over 250 points of sale), and a yearly donation to the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation for all purchases made with the card.

“The new Allure MasterCard is the first credit card in Quebec specifically tailored to the needs of active women who are concerned about their health and well-being,” stated Rubina Havlin, Vice-President – Electronic Payment Solutions at National Bank.  “One of its most attractive features is that it allows cardholders to directly support the work of the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation.  National Bank will donate an amount equal to a percentage of the total annual purchases made by all Allure cardholders to benefit the efforts of the Foundation.  We estimate that donations to the Foundation will be about $1.4 million over a five-year period,” explained Ms. Havlin.

“National Bank is particularly attentive to the financial needs of women. We are increasingly offering products and services that fit their goals and requirements. We are also concerned about women’s health, and have been associated with the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation for several years. Today, we are proud to reinforce our commitment to women and the Foundation by launching the Allure card,” Ms. Havlin added.

Be alluring with Allure

Designed in collaboration with several partners, the Allure MasterCard offers a 10% discount on overall purchases made at marie claire boutiques, San Francisco, Terra Nostra, La Vie en Rose, Aqua, marie claire week-end, Claire France 14 plus, CF and Émotions. Other partners, such as Dans un Jardin, Clément, Spa le Scandinave (Mont-Tremblant) will also offer attractive promotions. Cardholders will also receive a complimentary one-year subscription to a women’s interest magazines.

To add to the card’s allure, cardholders can choose from three card visuals (blue, yellow or pink). In addition, as a reminder of their contribution to the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation, the card bears the foundation’s pink ribbon logo.

A number of activities have been organized for the upcoming weeks to help build Allure MasterCard’s brand recognition. These include: partner’s retail outlets, cafés, bistros and restaurants; an advertising campaign in major Quebec women’s magazines and on websites of particular interest to women; a radio advertising campaign, and shopping centre visits by the Allure promotion team.
