National Bank Discount Brokerage becomes National Bank Direct Brokerage

Montreal, 18 July 2005 -

Effective immediately, National Bank Discount Brokerage will be known as National Bank Direct Brokerage, to reflect the direction the business has taken and the dynamic approach of our service offering.

National Bank Direct Brokerage (NBDB) is also launching a new Internet trading site for its customers. With a more user-friendly navigation system and additional sophisticated functionalities, the NBDB site is one of the most full-featured in the industry. Its high-performance functionalities include market watch and advanced technical analysis tools. Moreover, NBDB offers its most active clients competitive, advantageous pricing of as little as $14.95 per trade.

Lastly, this fall, National Bank Direct Brokerage will be introducing an interactive voice response brokerage system, a fast and effective way for clients to meet their primary brokerage-related needs. For example, the system will enable clients to trade shares, check account balances, transfer funds and receive stock quotes on the phone. These technological innovations, together with a competitive pricing structure, make National Bank Direct Brokerage an industry leader.
