World’s Best Riders to Compete in the $60,000 National Bank World Cup Qualifier
National Bank, a partner of the International Bromont for the past 10 years, is proud to once again be associated with the World Cup qualifier, which will be held on July 24 at the Bromont Olympic Site.
A Who’s Who of the world’s top riders, including Canadian equestrian stars Ian Millar, Mac Cone, Éric Lamaze, Ainsley Vince and Jill Henselwood, will compete on a course consisting of some 15 obstacles, created by the famous course designer Léopoldo Palacio. With its total purse of $60,000, the qualifier promises to be a colourful, action-packed show for the tens of thousands of fans expected to attend.
“For the last 30 years, the Bromont Olympic Site has hosted what has become one of the premiere equestrian sports events in North America, the International Bromont,” explained Denis Pellerin, Senior Vice-President – Operational and Market Risk Management at National Bank. “Thanks to the efforts of the organizers, the Eastern Townships today is home to one of Quebec’s greatest sports traditions and a world-class event that generates sizeable economic spin-offs. The Bank is proud to be associated with such a prestigious event that has put the region on the map,” Mr. Pellerin added.
The 2005 edition of the International Bromont will take place from July 20 to July 24 and from July 27 to July 31, 2005, and will feature more than 600 riders from every corner of the world.
