National Bank Commercial Banking Golf Tournament Donates $50,000 to 9 Non-Profit Organizations

Montreal, 23 August 2006 -

The 14th annual golf tournament organized by National Bank Commercial Banking’s Specialized Groups raised a total of $50,000 for the following organizations and foundations:

  • Fondation de l'Ataxie Charlevoix-Saguenay
  • The Diabetic Children’s Foundation (Quebec)
  • Quebec Society for Disabled Children
  • Hebrew Academy
  • Welcome Hall Mission
  • Missing Children’s Network Canada
  • Jeunes Entreprises du Québec
  • Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada (Quebec Division)
  • Tecsys Foundation for Youth Inc.

Some 300 golfers, for the most part National Bank clients, took part in this prestigious tournament. The event was held on August 22 at the Saint-Raphaël Golf Club on Île Bizard and was attended by several members of the Bank’s senior management, including Tony Meti, Senior Vice-President – Commercial Banking and International, Pierre Dubreuil, Senior Vice-President – Commercial Banking, and David Pinsonneault, Vice-President – Commercial Banking, Specialized Groups.

In 2005, the Bank and its subsidiaries, through corporate donations, sponsorships, in-branch fundraising activities and various benefit events, gave $18 million to hundreds of Canadian education, health care, cultural and community organizations.
