Independent research firm recognizes National Bank’s website

Montreal, 21 May 2008 -

National Bank has distinguished itself by posting the best improvement in the rankings of the 2008 Canadian Bank Secure Site and the 2008 Canadian Bank Public Web Site, issued by Forrester, an independent research firm.

Placing second in the Canadian Bank Secure Site rankings, the transaction site of National Bank’s Personal Internet Banking Solutions stood out among the best in Canada due, in particular, to its new user-friendly and efficient online account statement feature. In 2007, National Bank was ranked 5th.

The Bank also received an honourable mention for its integrated approach that presents in one place all the information and services clients need to manage their accounts more easily. According to Forrester, the linking of bill payment information in the account history screen contributed to positioning National Bank as a Canadian leader in this area, and also as an example for the design of future generations of secure bank sites.

National Bank’s information site was also ranked as the most improved site compared to 2007, garnering 5th spot in the Canadian Bank Public Web Site rankings.  Forrester especially recognized the work by National Bank in its information pages on credit cards. The new design makes it possible for clients to quickly and easily find, compare and sign up for credit cards that meet their needs.
