National Bank Financial Group helps the Pointe-à-Callière Foundation raise $150,000 at its benefit Major Donors Evening

Montreal, 14 December 2009 -

On December 3, over $150,000 was raised through the support of guests, donors, and sponsors at the Major Donors Evening, organized by the Pointe-à-Callière Foundation and held this year under the honorary presidency of Mr. Louis Vachon, President and Chief Executive Officer of National Bank Financial Group, at the financial institution’s headquarters.

Each year, in collaboration with a partner, the Pointe-à-Callière Foundation organizes a prestigious benefit event: the major Donors Evening. During this last event, as part of National Bank Financial Group’s 150th anniversary, some 150 guests in attendance were able to appreciate an exhibition of objects relating to the Bank’s history, many of which were being shown for the very first time. A gastronomic meal was served and, through the collaboration of several sponsors, a silent auction was held, allowing benefactors to bet on an array of interesting lots.
