National Bank Financial Group donates $5,000 to the Fondation de lutte au décrochage scolaire de Montréal
National Bank Financial Group will be donating $5,000 to the Fondation de lutte au décrochage scolaire de Montréal. $3,000 in the form of bursaries will be given during the Champlain Adult Education Centre's recognition evening, which will take place tonight in the Centre's auditorium.
During the event, John Lambrinos, Personal Banking Advisor at the Monk Street branch in Montreal, will award 10 bursaries to deserving students who, after initially dropping out of school, resumed their studies and obtained their diploma. These bursaries are intended to recognize the efforts and perseverance of young adults who, despite having difficulties in their academic career, successfully resumed or pursued their studies.
National Bank Financial Group has been a partner of the Fondation de lutte au décrochage scolaire since 2006 and supports the organization in its mission to help young Montrealers succeed in school, particularly those who dropped out of high school and therefore have no diploma or certification.
“National Bank Financial Group is proud to help these students succeed,” explained Lynn Jeanniot, Senior Vice-President, Human Resources and Corporate Affairs, National Bank Financial Group, “The Fondation de lutte au décrochage scolaire de Montréal is a great organization that gives students who have not completed their education the tools they need to work towards achieving their goals.”
Through its donations and sponsorships program and the initiatives of its employees, National Bank Financial Group helps support hundreds of organizations across Canada. It focuses primarily on four main areas of activity—health, education, arts and culture, and community outreach—with the goal of generating positive benefits for communities.
