National Bank Financial Group invites you to donate your old tennis balls during the Rogers Cup
If you are planning to attend the Rogers Cup at the Uniprix Stadium from August 13 to 22, why not do a good deed and get a good deal by bringing in your used tennis balls in exchange for new ones. For every 12 balls you donate, you will receive a participation coupon to draw a random ball that determines your prize.
Participants in this prize draw will have a 1-in-3 chance of winning newcan(s) of balls. It’s simple —you trade in your old tennis balls for a chance to win either new balls or a participation prize.
For every participation coupon, you also get one online entry at www.nbc.ca/recycling to win 1 of six gift certificates for The Getaway Boutique.
In addition, everyone who comes by the National Bank booth between August 13 and 19, whether or not they donate, can try and guess the number of old tennis balls in the tower of balls collected by National Bank and enter a draw for tickets to the semi-finals or finals of the Rogers Cup in Montreal.
A special team from the Financial Group will be waiting for you at the National Bank booth less than 150 feet (47 m) from the entrance turnstiles of the Uniprix Stadium at 285 Faillon West in Montreal.
What’s more, until August 31, people can also donate used tennis balls at one of our 17 participating branches in the Montreal area or one of 26 other participating branches in Quebec. To find the nearest participating branch in your area, go to www.nbc.ca/recycling.
The National Bank Financial Group used tennis ball recovery program is in its fourth year. Under the program, donated tennis balls are distributed to various Quebec school boards to be placed on the legs of students’ chairs. This initiative, undertaken in response to a real need expressed by local schools, seeks to reduce classroom noise and promote a better learning environment for children.
To date, more than 250,000 tennis balls have been recovered and distributed throughout Quebec. In addition to helping protect the environment, the tennis balls collected were distributed to more than 2,200 classrooms, much to the delight of students and teachers.
