National Bank to donate $10,000 for the victims of flooding in Manitoba and Western Canada
National Bank will contribute $10,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to support the organization’s relief efforts for the victims of the unprecedented floods in Manitoba and Western Canada.
Starting today, the public is invited to make a donation at any National Bank branch in Canada. Cheques or donations should be made under the "Western Canada Severe Weather Fund".
In addition to its corporate donation, National Bank has taken several relief measures to support, on a case-by-case basis, its customers affected by the floods of the Assiniboine and LaSalle rivers. To complement the fundraising efforts of the Canadian Red Cross, National Bank MasterCard cardholders may, if they wish, exchange their À la carte reward points, free of charge, for a cash donation to the Canadian Red Cross by visiting nbcrewards.ca.
All donations made at National Bank branches will be sent to the Canadian Red Cross and will be used to provide immediate relief to the victims. The Canadian Red Cross will issue tax receipts for all donations of $20 and over.
