National Bank Invests More Than $400,000 in a New Branch in Moncton

Moncton, 23 September 2013 -

National Bank took advantage of the official opening of its new branch in Moncton, at 346 Elmwood Drive, to reaffirm its pledge to truly take care of its clients. The Bank invested more than $400,000 in the new branch, reflecting its commitment to promote Moncton's economic and social development.

"National Bank looks forward to continuing to serve clients in the region, particularly students at the Université de Moncton, at its spacious new branch. They can count on our 8 employees to meet all their financial services needs," said Patrick Lemelin, the Bank's Vice-President – Personal and Commercial Banking for Atlantic Canada.

The persons attending the inauguration were able to appreciate a new feature, a WiFi hotspot, a first in Canada for National Bank. In addition to the traditional advisory services offered, clients can use two electronic tablets, with the help of employees, to explore the Bank's various channels and online information. The branch has also extended its business hours as follows:

The branch, which features a modern and inviting design, has three service counters and one ABM that is accessible 24/7. The new premises were designed in keeping with the latest construction standards, to make it easier to welcome and assist clients at the branch depending on their needs.

The Bank also took the opportunity to make donations to three neighbourhood charitable organizations: $2,000 to House of Nazareth, and $500 each to Enviro Plus and Lire et Faire lire Acadie.
