Montreal, 29 October 2013 -

National Bank is proud to show its continued support of the Sephardic community by contributing to the creation of the Fondation CSUQ d’une génération à l’autre. The Bank will contribute $500,000 over five years, as well as ensure the financial management of the funds. The revenues generated will be used to finance projects that are important to young people and will broaden their horizons.

"The Bank's commitment to the community is represented by our extensive donations and sponsorships program, through which we donate several million dollars each year. Among the many sectors we support, youth is a top priority," declared Karen Leggett, Executive Vice-President – Marketing at National Bank. "The creation of the Fondation CSUQ d’une génération à l’autre shares this same goal. Thanks to the Fondation, young people in the Sephardic community will have an opportunity to grow and learn through many stimulating and engaging activities," added Ms. Leggett.

This partnership is part of a long-standing relationship between the Bank and the Quebec Sephardic community. For the Bank, being close to clients also means being present in the community and actively contributing to its development.

Each year, National Bank supports hundreds of Canadian organizations through donations and sponsorships. It is particularly committed to young people through its One for Youth program, ensuring they are healthy and have the tools they need to become engaged citizens who are committed to building a better world.
