National Bank to Donate $15,000 to Assist Relief Efforts in Nepal

Montreal, 27 April 2015 -

National Bank will donate $15,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to support their efforts in helping the victims of the recent earthquake in Nepal.

The tremor that hit Kathmandu and the centre of the country has left several thousands dead. Countless others are missing, critically injured or displaced. Bringing aid to the devastated region is posing particularly difficult challenges for international aid agencies.

National Bank believes that the best way to help the people affected is to support the Canadian Red Cross's concerted efforts.

On behalf of the Canadian Red Cross, the Bank will also be accepting donations from the public in all its branches across Canada, from April 29 to May 29, 2015.
