With mobile deposit, depositing a cheque with your telephone is as easy as snapping a selfie. The service is available anytime, day or night, and there's no need to go to a branch or wait in line at the ABM.
You can deposit your cheques, bank drafts, money orders and travellers cheques immediately by taking a photo using the National Bank app on your smartphone.
Log in to the NBC mobile app on your smartphone, click on the mobile deposit icon at the bottom and follow the steps below.
Enter the amount of your cheque.
Take a photo of the front of your cheque. Then take a photo of the back.
Select the account you want to deposit the funds in.
Confirm and it's done.
Is it as secure as depositing a cheque at an ABM or branch?

Will you hold the funds when I deposit a cheque with my telephone?
According to your profile, when you deposit a cheque to your account, you have access to a limited amount. The remaining amount will be available once your cheque has cleared. This can take up to 7 business days.
