Little details that matter

You can add up to five Autodeposit setups per bank account using your email address or mobile number. An email or mobile number can be associated with a single account, whether with National Bank or another financial institution.

Cheque orders

Choose from a range of designs and covers and decide which personal information to display on your cheques. Fees may apply depending on your banking package.

3 ways to order cheques:

  • Sign in to online banking. Don't have an account?
  • Call us at 1-888-835-6281 (options 4-1-1), 7 days a week from 6:00 a.m. to midnight.
  • Visit your branch and order cheques at the counter.

Direct deposits

Don't have time to go to the bank to deposit your cheque? You can deposit it online or ask the issuer to deposit the funds directly to your bank account so you can access your money immediately, hassle-free.

What's more, you won't have to worry about lost or stolen cheques.

Preauthorized debits

You can pay bills automatically by setting up preauthorized debits. This is a great way to pay your utility bills, insurance, mortgage—and any other payments you make on a regular basis.

Overdraft protection

Looking to avoid the inconvenience and cost of NSF cheques and declined debit card payments?

Overdraft protection lets you draw on another eligible source to cover the shortfall (a $5 fee is charged per transfer). With your permission, the overdraft is covered by a funds transfer from another bank account, your Integrated line of credit* or a cash advance from your Mastercard credit card.

Don't worry about getting caught short—with overdraft protection your cheques, transfers, card purchases, withdrawals, and bill payments are covered.
