Judith Ménard, BAA, LLB, LLM

Executive Vice-President, Commercial and Private Banking 1859

With close to 25 years of experience in various sectors at National Bank, Judith Ménard is responsible for growth and all activities outside Quebec for the Commercial and Private Banking sector and transforming the business model. She is also responsible for the growth of National Accounts across Canada. Judith previously served as Senior Vice-President – Private Banking 1859, where she oversaw national sales. She also served as Chief Compliance Officer for all National Bank business lines in Canada and internationally. Judith is recognized for her intrapreneurial mindset and in-depth knowledge of all Bank business lines and has proven skills in coaching and mobilizing nationwide teams of managers and professionals dedicated to creating distinctive 360° experiences to meet the needs of entrepreneur clients and their families. Judith is a dynamic and authentic leader who is committed to and involved in her community.

Jean-Sébastien Lemieux, FCSI, CIM, MBA, CFA

President, Private Banking 1859, Strategy and Client experience

Since 1997, Jean-Sébastien boasts an extensive career in the financial industry. His expertise primarily lies in wealth management for affluent families, a niche he has excelled in since 2002. Possessing the esteemed title of Chartered Financial Analyst, he has further distinguished himself by acquiring the designation of Certified Investment Manager and of Fellow at the Canadian Securities Institute.

Since the very beginning of Private Banking 1859 in 2009, Jean-Sébastien has played a pivotal role on the management committee. Today, as a President, he spearheads the development and ensures strict adherence to the highest standards of service within the organization.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Jean-Sébastien actively contributes to the board of directors at JA Québec, an organization with a mission of enhancing financial literacy among young individuals in Quebec schools, as well as fostering entrepreneurial skills.

As a member of the Quebec CPA Order and a chartered investment manager, Mario Caron has been working at Private Banking 1859 since it was created in 2009 and has been a major contributor to its growth. He has 20 years of experience working for the National Bank as a key player when it comes to interpersonal relationships. His biggest strength is dispensing strong value-added advice to a sophisticated clientele.
