About
Ioulia Ioffe is Executive Vice President and Managing Director Technology and Quantitative Development Strategy. In this role, Ioulia oversees front office development and quantitative solutions and is responsible for strengthening the in-house technology resources needed to be deployed to our distinctive value-adding businesses.
Ioulia joined the Bank in 2005 on the Equity Derivatives side. She was quickly mandated to build a group of quantitative and technical specialists to help build and operationalize the Structured Products business. Ioulia was named Head of Quantitative Research and Development (QRD) in 2008. QRD has been instrumental in building, industrializing and promoting customer-centric infrastructures for pricing and hedging Structured Products, Mortgage Derivatives, ETF Market Making, Securities Financing, Interest Rate Derivatives, FX, XVA and counterparty credit risk (CCR). The scope of solutions developed went beyond Front Office in order to also service Risk Management, Operations and IT.
Before joining the Bank, Ioulia was a professor of Finance at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. She holds a B.A. and M.A. in Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Finance from York University.
