Jean-François Tessier

Jean-François Tessier is Executive Vice-President and Managing Director, Head of Commodities, Co-Head, Risk Management Solutions and Structured Products. More precisely, he is responsible for commodity sales and trading, derivatives valuation adjustments and financial products which consist of offering innovative solutions to the asset management industry. He is also jointly responsible with Martin Verschuere for structured products and with Sean St-John for corporate and commercial risk management solutions and FICC structuring.

Mr. Tessier joined the Bank in 2002 and held positions in risk management and commodity trading before joining the Global Equity Derivatives team in 2005 and adding XVA responsibilities in 2011. Since 2018, he has been Co-Head, Structured Products and Exotics Trading, Head of XVA and Co-Chair of the New Products Committee.

Mr. Tessier holds a Master’s in Financial Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Administration from Laval University.
