Jean-Pierre Vivier

Jean-Pierre Vivier has served as Senior Vice-President – Operations Investment and IT Delivery, Wealth Management and Capital Markets since November 2023.

Mr. Vivier joined National Bank in 1997, beginning his career with the Discount Brokerage team in the role of Manager – E‑Commerce. In this position, he helped launch Canada’s first transactional website for self‑directed investors. He later moved to National Bank Financial as Vice-President – E‑Commerce, where he played a key role in integrating several external brokers, specializing in brokerage platforms and full‑service brokerage solutions. 

Mr. Vivier took charge of the Wealth Management IT Delivery team in 2015. His responsibilities expanded in 2022 when he also assumed leadership of the Capital Markets IT Delivery team. He has since been appointed head of the Operations Investment group. Mr. Vivier is responsible for accelerating value delivery, centralizing his teams’ process simplification and automation initiatives and ensuring interconnectivity with all business partners. The client experience remains a central pillar of his strategic orientations and those of his team.

Mr. Vivier holds a bachelor’s degree in information technology from the Université du Québec à Montréal.
