What is a request for funds, and how do I respond?
An Interac e-Transfer® money request allows a recipient to request a transfer from you via email or text message.
Important :
- If you accept the request, the funds will be sent directly to the recipient.
- Once the request has been accepted, it can’t be cancelled.
- Never accept an unexpected money request, from an unknown recipient, or if you suspect it could be a scam.
What to do if you receive a money request:
From your web browser:
- Select National Bank from the email or text message you received.
- Sign in to online banking for business.
- Select Accept or Refuse, then click Continue.
- Follow the instructions.
From the National Bank app:
- Select National Bank from the email or text message you received.
- Sign in to the National Bank app for business.
- Select the account into which you want to accept or refuse the request for funds.
- Select Accept or Refuse, then click Continue.
- Follow the instructions.
Good to know:
- The maximum amount you can send per day is $4,000.
- You cannot request funds through Interac with National Bank at this time, but you can accept requests addressed to you.
