How do I temporarily suspend or reactivate a user?


Suspending a user temporarily removes their access to online banking for business. This option can be used when a user leaves temporarily. You can reactivate the user's access at any time.
 

To temporarily suspend or reactivate a user, make sure you have :

  • The Manage users permission and the associated right to View
  • The Manage permissions permission and the associated right to View
  • The Manage account groups permission and the associated right to View
  • The Manage legal entities permission and the associated right to View
  • The Manage self-approved permissions permission and the associated right to View
  • The Manage job roles permissions and the associated right to View
  • The Lock access permission and the associated right to View
  • The Reactivate access permission and the associated right to View

 

Then follow these steps :

  1. Sign in to online banking for business.    
  2. From the home page under Administration, click Manage access.
  3. Select the Users and permissions tab.
  4. Enter the user’s name, family name or user code in the search bar, then select the user.
  5. Click Change permissions.
  6. Then click Suspend temporarily.
  7. If you wish, enter the reason for the suspension. Note that this reason is recorded in National bank's systems for reference only.
  8. Click Suspend.
  9. A message will appear indicating that the request is being processed. You can perform other tasks in the meantime. You will be notified when the user is suspended.

 

Here are the steps to reactivate a user's access :

  1. Sign in to online banking for business.    
  2. From the home page under Administration, click Manage access.
  3. Select the Users and permissions tab.
  4. Enter the user’s name, family name or user code in the search bar, then select the user.
  5. Click Change permissions.
  6. Then click Reactivate.
  7. A message will appear indicating that the request is being processed. You can perform other tasks in the meantime. You will be notified when the user is reactivated.

 

Good to know

  • The suspended user remains visible in the list of users and retains their permissions. However, they do not have access to the platform until their access is reactivated. The status Suspended is indicated in the user's profile details.
  • You can modify the permissions of a suspended user.
