Personal banking – Migration of your products and services

Here’s what to expect during the migration weekend.

Important security notice

Remember to protect your personal banking information such as verification codes, your PIN, and password at all times. National Bank® or Laurentian Bank® will never ask for your personal banking information. Stay vigilant for potentially fraudulent communications that require you to act or respond urgently. 

What to expect during the migration

Discover how your products and services have migrated to National Bank so you can resume your normal daily banking operations.

Accounts and statements

The transaction history for your chequing, savings, and line of credit accounts, as well as certain statements, appear in your National Bank online bank.

Payees and suppliers (online banking and ABMs)

A maximum of 20 suppliers (payees) are automatically migrated to National Bank.

Interac® e-Transfer

Your list of recipients is automatically transferred. However, any transfers you send that are not accepted before the migration weekend are cancelled. Please note that the “Autodeposit” feature is no longer available.

Scheduled transactions

Bill payments (pending, postdated, or recurring) and transfers between your accounts are cancelled during the migration. Transfers between Laurentian Bank clients will not be migrated.

Transactions linked to your account number (Laurentian Bank)

Transactions from external issuers are temporarily redirected to your new National Bank account:

  • For 3 months: Incoming wire transfers.
  • For 6 months: Direct deposits, EDI credits, pre-authorized debits, and cheques drawn on your Laurentian Bank account, whether it is a bank account or a line of credit.

Laurentian Bank services will no longer be accessible as of 4 p.m. (ET) November 6

Branches and ABMs

Laurentian Bank branches and ABMs are no longer accessible. Please note that Laurentian Bank branches and ABMs will no longer be accessible after the migration.

Laurentian Bank debit card

Your Laurentian Bank debit card is deactivated. You can no longer access your accounts at ABMs or make purchases with your Laurentian Bank debit card.

 

Please destroy and securely dispose of your Laurentian Bank debit cards.

Laurentian Bank online and telephone banking services

Your Laurentian Bank online and telephone banking services are deactivated. You can no longer view your accounts online or carry out online or telephone banking transactions through Laurentian Bank. National Bank’s online banking platform will not be accessible during the migration weekend. 

Interac e-Transfers

The Interac e-Transfer service is unavailable. Access will be restored on Monday, November 9.
