Summary of key changes resulting from the acquisition of Laurentian Bank’s portfolios by National Bank
The purpose of this section is to provide a consolidated overview of the main changes to your banking products and services resulting from National Bank’s acquisition of Laurentian Bank’s portfolios. It will serve as a single reference point to locate the relevant information in this guide. However, it is not an exhaustive presentation of the changes and should be supplemented by the detailed sections of the guide as well as the documents and resources to which they refer.
Although this document highlights some changes to support you in the transition, it is important to note that the integration with National Bank gives you access to even more comprehensive products and services, additional digital functionality and an expanded banking network across Canada. In addition to the changes that are presented, you will benefit from comprehensive solutions to manage your day-to-day finances, carry out your plans and move forward based on your needs.
This guide presents the general migration framework, including contractual terms, managing your day-to-day banking, how to access online and in-branch banking, and the main operational impacts of the migration on payments and transactions. It also describes the transitional measures put in place to ensure business continuity, including the temporary redirection of certain services (cheques, direct deposits, wire transfers) and clients’ obligations with respect to resetting recurring and post-dated payments.
If the products or services assigned to you do not fully meet your needs, you can choose to replace them with products or services better suited to your needs.
