Eligibility conditions

Sign up for a National Bank^® Platinum Mastercard^® credit card during the promotion as a primary cardholder.
Sign up via the redirection link provided on one of our partner's websites during the promotion. Must not have held one of our Mastercard credit card for individuals from National Bank over the past 24 months as a primary cardholder.
Keep the credit card account open until rewards points are paid.
Keep the account in good standing by complying with the conditions set out in the credit card agreement until the rewards points are paid. For example, all minimum payments must be made on time.
Not be employed by National Bank or one of its subsidiaries.

Description of the promotion

Up to 25,000 rewards points upon signing up and annual fee refunded in the first year for the primary cardholder and an additional user.

Annual fees

No annual fees for the first year for the primary cardholder and the first additional authorized user.

We will charge annual fees to the account of your new card and reimburse those fees to you. You will receive this reimbursement within five months of opening your account, provided that your account remains open. It will appear on your statement in the form of a credit.

To benefit from the annual fee discount for the first additional authorized user’s card, you must add it to the account opening request.

Annual fees related to authorized users’ cards are not eligible for this promotion.

How total purchases are calculated

The calculation is for the total amount of purchases made through all cards linked to the account. The transactions not included in the calculation are set out in article 1.5 of the À la carte Rewards Plan^TM.

1. Subject to credit approval by National Bank. The discount is offered to holders of a National Bank Platinum, World Mastercard^® or World Elite^® Mastercard® credit card. The $1,313 in annual savings is provided as an example only to illustrate what a holder could save with the offer. It is based on the typical profile of a client who has the following products: two bank accounts equivalent to The Total^® package, with the individual Securizone product, a World Elite^® Mastercard^® credit card, a National Bank All-In-One^® home equity line of credit with an annual balance of $150,000, and has a good credit rating.

Savings are calculated as follows: No monthly fee for transactions included in the The Total^® package (annual savings of $694 for two active chequing accounts), plus an annual discount on the individual Securizone product (annual savings of $19), plus an annual discount of 0.50% on the All-In-One^® line of credit rate (annual savings of $750), plus no fee for the World Elite^® Mastercard^® credit card for the first year (savings of $150). These savings represent the difference between what a client with the offer and a client without it would pay. Certain conditions apply. Potential savings may not reflect the net savings that you will receive; this amount will vary based on your financial situation.
