Little details that matter

Protecting your personal information

National Bank's rigorous security measures for online banking also apply when you access online services through SecureKey.

The only information National Bank provides to SecureKey is a random number generated when you first sign in. Every time you use the SecureKey system, this same number is used to establish a secure connection. Your personal data and sign-in details are never exchanged during the process.

SecureKey acts as an intermediary between the various online services you access and the sign-in partners you choose. Since the connection is established through SecureKey, none of the online services know which sign-in partner you've used, and none of the sign-in partners know which online service you are accessing.

For more information, check out the SecureKey Concierge service privacy statement.

Information on sign-in partners

Changing sign-in partners

You can change sign-in partners at any time by clicking on Switch My Sign-In Partner at the top of the page where the list of partners appears. If you use a new partner, some government websites may ask you security questions to confirm your identify.

Using different sign-in partners

You can use the same sign-in partner to access all of the services offering SecureKey authentication. However, you can add as many sign-in partners as you wish, and access government services using whichever partner you prefer.
