What is my debit card purchase limit?

To access your debit card purchase limit:

 

From your web browser: 

1. Sign in to your online bank. 
2. Click on the profile icon where you see your name displayed, then select the Preferences tab. 
3. Click My client card limits.

 

From the app:

1. Sign in to the National Bank app.
2. Expand the main menu, then select My preferences. 
3. Click Manage my debit card.

 

Click Edit to increase the limits allowed with your card. These limits cannot be increased.
 

Note that the purchase limit for contactless payments is $250 per transaction. A cumulative limit of $500 applies. Once you have reached this contactless purchase limit, you will be required to make another debit payment with a PIN to confirm that you are the legitimate cardholder.
