Can I buy a GIC from my online bank if I don’t have a National Bank investment account?
Yes, you can make a request to open an account when you purchase a GIC.
You must choose in which type of account you wish to purchase a GIC (TFSA, RRSP or non-registered account).
Sign in to your online bank, then:
- Click Products and services in the left menu.
- Expand Savings and investments.
- Under Buy a GIC, click Buy a GIC in a non-registered account.
- Follow the instructions.
