The passbook option has not been available to new clients since May 4, 2015. If you are an existing client who uses a passbook with your account, a $2.50 monthly fee is charged.

1. Interest is calculated at the end of each day on the total daily balance. Interest is paid monthly. Variable annual rate subject to change without notice. See current rates.
2. Services offered by the Bank through National Bank online, the mobile banking app and telephone banking solutions. These services provide access to accounts using a client card number issued by the Bank and a password chosen by the client, and allow clients to carry out various banking transactions including account, line of credit and credit card balance inquiries, transaction history requests (deposits and withdrawals), wire transfers, fund transfers to other National Bank account holders, requests to access documents, cheque images and bills, bill payments and cheque orders. Some features are not available through the National Bank mobile app. Certain browser versions are required to access National Bank online. Banking services providing account access by means of a debit card issued by National Bank and used at a National Bank automated banking machine or an automated banking machine in an affiliate network or point-of-service terminals or with other devices and technology made available to National Bank clients. These services allow clients to carry out a range of banking transactions including withdrawals, deposits, account, line of credit and credit card balance inquiries, transaction history requests (deposits and withdrawals), fund transfers and bill payments. Additional fees are charged for using the Interac® and CIRRUS® networks. No additional fees are charged for using THE EXCHANGE® ABM network.
4. Banking services usually provided at National Bank branches during normal business hours, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, bill payments, foreign exchange transactions, purchase of travellers cheques or drafts and use of safety deposit boxes.

7. The 2.75% promotional rate is offered until December 30, 2019. This rate is offered to anyone who has or opens a National Bank High Interest Savings Account during the promotion period and makes deposits. The promotional rate applies up to a maximum of $999,999.00 in deposits. Sums deposited into the High Interest Savings Account cannot originate from an existing National Bank savings, investment or registered account. Funds can originate from a National Bank chequing account provided they were deposited less than 30 days ago. The 2.75% promotional rate is the variable annual rate (currently 1%) plus an additional 1.75%. After December 30, 2019, the rate will be the variable annual rate in effect. Interest is calculated at the end of each day on net deposits and credited to the account monthly. Net deposits are the difference between the total deposits and total withdrawals. For clients who already have a National Bank High Interest Savings Account at the start of the promotion, the promotional rate will only apply to amounts deposited after October 1, 2019. Amounts deposited to the account before the start of the promotion period will continue to earn interest at the variable annual rate. Interest is calculated at the end of each day on net deposits. The applicable rate depends on the date that the deposits were made. For example, the account balance was $5,000 when the promotion period started. The client then deposited $5,000 and withdrew $2,000. The first $5,000 would earn interest at 1% and the remaining $3,000 would earn interest at 2.75%. After December 30, 2019, the interest rate on the whole account balance will be the variable annual rate in effect. National Bank reserves the right to end this promotion at any time and rates may change without notice. Clients can benefit from this promotion on only one National Bank High Interest Savings Account.
