Terms and conditions of the Welcome offer
To benefit from the discounts and free services offered with the solutions in the table below, all you need to do is:
- Open a business current account and enrol in one of the eligible business packages9
- Sign up for Internet Banking Solutions – Businesses<4 and a Business Client Card (no sign-up fee when you enrol in a business package10-11)
- Sign up for one or more of the following solutions within 6 months of opening the business current account

1 The Welcome Offer is intended for businesses that are not clients of National Bank. The benefits or advantages awarded through this promotion may not be transferred, cumulated or combined with other financial programs, promotional offers or advantages from National Bank, and are not retroactive. This offer may be withdrawn or modified, in whole or in part, at any time without prior notice.
2 The advantages apply as of enrolment in one or more of the Welcome Offer products. Once the discounted months have elapsed, the rates in effect will apply. The $545 in savings corresponds to the following free services: the annual fee for the main Platinum MasterCard® business card ($125), the fee to activate the file and create employee profiles ($70), the 13th month of payroll processing ($50), the discount on file opening fees (minimum value of $100) and the discount on a POS terminal purchase ($200). The discount on the first 3 months of a leased POS terminal is $55. The savings may be lower if you do not enrol in all the products included in this promotion.
3 Subject to credit approval by National Bank of Canada. The promotional offer on the annual fee for the main card applies only to individuals who do not have a National Bank Platinum MasterCard Business Card. National Bank reserves the right to end this promotion at any time without notice. One year after the card is issued, the regular annual fee in effect for the main card will be automatically charged to the account. Grace period: No interest will be charged on purchases made during the month provided the balance is paid in full within twenty-one (21) days of the date of the statement which will be sent periodically. This grace period does not apply to cash advances or balance transfers. Minimum payment: The minimum payment will be equal to 3% of the account balance plus any overdue amount or $50, whichever is higher (or the full account balance if it is lower than $50). If the credit limit is exceeded, the minimum payment will be 3% of the account balance or the amount in excess of the credit limit, whichever is higher. Main card annual fee: $125. Annual fee for each additional card: $35. Account statement: A statement is sent monthly.

8 The discount offer is valid for a limited time. It is for the exclusive benefit of businesses that enrol in the Welcome Offer and are new referrals of National Bank to Global Payments. All applications are subject to credit approval by Global Payments. Businesses who are existing clients of Global Payments cannot take advantage of this offer. Rebates will be applied to the business’ account only once during the agreement period between the business and Global Payments. Rebates will be applied to the business’ account within 6 to 8 weeks of the start of processing.
9 The eligible business packages are packages 20, 35, 50, 75 and 100. Enrolment is subject to certain conditions. Each business package includes one Business Client Card. Additional cards will be billed at the rate in effect in the Fee Guide – Banking Services for Businesses.
