How do I pay my taxes or government remittances?
To make a tax or government remittance payment from online banking for business, verify that you have provided your identification numbers to the bank through the Contact us section:
- Federal GST/HST account number or 9-digit business number (RT/RC/RP0001).
- Provincial GST/PST account number or 10-digit identification number (TQ0001). Note that this is not the NEQ.
Information on remittances for other provinces
Remittances for other provinces are made through our partner Dye & Durham. You must be eligible for remittances with other provinces as this option is not enabled by default when you join. Subscription fees apply.
To pay your taxes or government remittances:
- Sign in to online banking for business.
- In the left menu under Transfer of funds, click Government remittances.
- Select the form for which you want to make a payment.
- Fill in the required fields.
- Select the date for the remittance.
- Select the account to be debited for the payment.
- Fill in the remaining fields.
- Click Continue.
- Verify that you entered the information correctly.
- Check the verification and confirmation box.
- Click Confirm.
Good to know
- Remittances sent after 3 p.m. are processed the following business day.
- Only the forms from the list provided in online banking for business are available. For any other form, refer to the respective government website.
- To verify the status of your transaction, visit the Transaction update section and select Government remittances from the dropdown menu.
