Here’s how to transfer money to someone in another country.

From your web browser:

1. Sign in to your online bank.
2. Click Send money in the left menu.
3. Select your recipient or click Add a recipient.
4. Follow the instructions.

From the app:

1. Sign in to the National Bank app.
2. Click Transfers at the bottom of the screen, then International transfer.
3. Select the account from which you want to make the transfer, then select the recipient.
4. Follow the instructions.

Good to know:

• There’s a $5.95 fee per transfer
• There could be a delay of 1 to 5 business days before your transfer is received by the recipient
• There’s a $10 minimum and $10,000 maximum limit per transfer

 

Here is the list of available countries you can send international transfers to:

• North America: United States
• Europe: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain.
• United Kingdom: England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and British Virgin Islands.
• Asia: India, Philippines.

• Full name and address of the recipient 
• Banking information of the recipient (account number, financial institution, SWIFT code) 
• Address of the recipient’s branch
