Start your introductory tour
First time signing in
- Sign in for the first time with your user code and the temporary password you received by email when you joined. If you're having trouble receiving the verification code when you sign in, please see our What to do if I don't receive the verification code page.
- Take a moment to update or verify your profile and communication preferences. This will ensure that you receive notifications and alerts on your preferred means of communication.
Navigation and available features
- Discover our optimized account summary and our menu on the left, which includes all the features linked to your profile. Visit our Discover home page and navigation menu features page to explore the features we offer.
- If you'd like to use our National Bank app, here's how to download it.
Transactions
- Online transactions are now easier than ever. Visit our Business help centre's Accounts & Transactions section or watch our demos on managing payees, making payments, sending money with Interac e-Transfer®, approving transactions, and utilizing notifications and alerts.
Rights and permissions
- Since your job role is that of a user, only a business administrator can manage your rights and permissions for online banking for business. They must give you a job job role with permissions that allow you to use the features you need.
- If your business requires you to make online transactions, they'll need to give you additional permissions as well.
- Your administrator can watch our video or consult our First steps for giving access to a new user guide to familiarize themselves with these features.
Troubleshooting and support
- If you encounter a technical problem while online, you can often solve it by consulting our troubleshooting section. You'll find instructions for clearing your cache, deleting cookies and history, or resolving other more frequent issues.
