The online banking for business homepage
Discover the online banking for business home page and all its features.
The home page allows you to:
- Access to the navigation menu
- Access to the Business help centre
- See a summary of your accounts
- Export your transactions in CSV (export up to 100 accounts)
- Rename your accounts
- Set accounts as favourites
To switch from one feature to another, use the Home button at the top left of your screen.
Good to know
You’ll only be able to see features that you’ve been granted access to use. If you think you’re missing certain features, verify with your account administrator.

Accounts and transactions
- Account management : Consult your account balances on one page. You can also view your transaction history by clicking on the account of your choice, rename accounts, search for a cashed cheque or access the list of depositors. To view your accounts by favourites or by individual product, click on the different tabs.
- Account consolidation : Add up the balances of the business accounts included in the consolidation.
- Cheque reconciliation : National Bank performs automated cheque reconciliation to identify any cheque discrepancies. This helps quickly identify any cases of possible fraud.
- Transaction approval : Access your list of transactions awaiting approval.
- Transaction tracking : View the details of your transactions in online banking for business (payments, transfers between accounts, wire transfers, payroll deposits, government remittances, Interac e-Transfer® or foreign exchange transactions).
- Statement management : View, download and print your statements if you have chosen the Online account delivery option.
Transferring funds
- Payment : Transfer funds in Canadian currency to pay utilities, businesses or individuals with a Canadian account at a Canadian financial institution.
- Interac e-Transfer® : Send and receive money electronically between Canadian banks.
- Transfer money between your accounts : Easily transfer funds between your company's various accounts.
- Government remittances : Pay the various levels of government : federal, provincial, and municipal. Remittances for other provinces are made through the platform of our partner Assure Pay Tax Filing Service (CanAct). The client must subscribe to the other provinces’ discounts since this option is not activated by default when signing up. Subscription fees apply.
- Wire transfers : Use the SWIFT network to send transfers to beneficiaries in Canada and abroad, in CAD, USD, or other currencies.
- Digital deposits : Deposit your cheques remotely using a scanner. To find out more, see our guides, tools and special conditions page.
- Salary deposit : Deposit your employees' salaries electronically. This feature is available in Canadian currency only.
- Beneficiary management : Manage suppliers and beneficiaries for sending funds.
- Foreign exchange transactions : Manage foreign exchange transactions (e.g.: postpone, advance or merge contracts).
Administration
- Create a user : You can create a user from your online banking for business.
- Manage access : Manage your users' profiles as well as your company's job roles and account groups from within your online banking for business.
- Other administrative options
Order tokens : As an administrator or authorized user, you can order a SecurID token for yourself or other users in your company to connect to online banking for business.

Documents
- Manage documents : Choose the delivery method for your account statements and cheque image remittances, if applicable.
- View document management history : View the history of all the document management requests your company has submitted.
Digital deposits
- Manage sites : Group your bank accounts together to make your digital deposits.
- View deposit limits : Consult the authorized digital deposit limits for your company. If you’re a user and wish to increase the limit, you can request authorizations from your administrator. If you are an administrator, contact your account manager.
- Manage IP scanners : Add different IP scanners for your company.
Other
- Manage an Interac e-Transfer® profile : As an administrator or authorized user, you can grant access to a user, and change the email address or the language of communication.
- Manage alerts : With the Alerts and notifications feature, receive alerts when transactions or changes are made in your online banking for business.
- Manage accounts : Request account additions or withdrawals (there are exceptions). To find out more, see the Help centre section on account groups.
- Open a business bank account : Apply online.
Requests
- Stop payment : Request a stop payment on a cheque or pre-authorized debit that has not yet been debited from your business account.
- Pre-authorized debit refusal : Use this function to dispute a pre-authorized debit that has already been debited from your account.
- Cheque images : View, search, submit and retrieve cheque image requests.
- Order cheques : Order cheques online from your online banking for business.
- Credit reference : Submit a request to obtain a credit reference. This allows a potential lender to assess your company's overall viability.
- Investments : Request a new Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) or renew one.
Other requests
- Copy of supporting document : Request a copy of a cheque, deposit/withdrawal, credit advice, etc.
- Reproduction of an account statement : Obtain a copy of an account statement that is not available online, or if your method of receiving statements is by mail and not online.
- Information required on a transaction : Request more information on a transaction that appears in your bank statement.
- Base rates : Open a temporary access window to the National Bank of Canada website. The rates displayed are in CAD and USD. These rates are for information purposes only. They represent the current rates available as of the moment you download them and can vary.
- Exchange rates : The rates displayed represent the market rates in effect at the time of registration and may vary without notice.
My information
- My profile : Manage your contact information for receiving validation codes, update your password, security questions, or manage your communication preferences for receiving alerts and notifications.
- Messages : View your messages in online banking for business.
