How do I activate the automatic deposit of funds received by Interac e-Transfer?

Choose which bank account to automatically deposit the transfers received by email.

 

Activating Interac e-Transfer® Autodeposit means you’ll receive funds without having to answer a security question. You’ll receive a confirmation of each transfer.

 

To activate Autodeposit:

 

From your web browser:

  1. Sign in to your online bank.
  2. Click on the profile icon, then select the Preferences tab.
  3. Select Manage Interac e-Transfer® Autodeposit.
  4. Click Add and follow the instructions.

From the app:

  1. Sign in to the National Bank app.
  2. Click My preferences in the main menu.
  3. Select Manage Interac e-Transfer® Autodeposit.
  4. Click Add an Autodeposit setup and follow the instructions.

You can add up to 5 emails per account. An email address can be associated with only one National Bank or a bank account from another financial institution.
